Computers for Non-Profit Entities
As I had indicated in yesterday’s RNCoC meeting, Rural Clinics will have approximately 60-80 computers in the next couple of months that need to be given away as new computers have been purchased. These computers will only have an operating system on them, no actual software programs. Computers cannot be given to people we serve – due to regulations they must go to a non-profit service entity who then, in turn, could use them or provide them to people/other entities. Please let anyone and everyone in RNCoC know about this
opportunity as it will be first come first serve.

Dear Ready for Life Executive Committee members:
I want to extend a personal invitation for you to join me, members of the Board of Trustees and other community leaders as we launch a major new initiative called, "Door to Door for Student Achievement." On Saturday morning, September 19, central office staff will join principals and others in our community as we work door-to-door to convince students not yet enrolled or returned to classes to come back to school. We will be in a position to enroll these students immediately and begin to build programs that meet their individual needs.
It’s a busy Air Race weekend, but I hope your schedule will allow you to add your support to this effort. If you can be with us, please call the Communications Office at 348-0371. When our final planning is complete, we’ll contact you with when and where to meet.
To announce this initiative to the media and the community, we will hold a news conference at Wooster High School’s career center on Wednesday, September 16 at 10 a.m. Your presence at this event will demonstrate to the community that improving the graduation rate is a goal shared by all in our community. Again, please call 348-0371 if you will attend the news conference.
This will be the first of many significant efforts to demonstrate our commitment to improve our graduation rates. This number will improve; it must if we are to take the next step as a school system. We not only owe it to every student for them to walk across a stage and receive a diploma, but also to ensure that the quality of education they receive in WCSD allows them to pursue their post-secondary goals.
Best wishes,
Heath Morrison, Ph.D.
